Profession Bireswar Sen was the principal of Government Arts College since 1926. He was Mr. Sathi's mentor and teacher.
Urvashi & Pururva painting was composed based on a mythological story, which was also part of Kalidasa's dance drama. The painting received Silver Cup from a national competition organized by Mysore's Maharaja. The original black and white version was given as a gift by the Government of India to the Bulgarian delegation. A color version is now in the collection of UP State Lalit Kala Academy.
Purush & Prakarti depicts a philosophical depiction of the creation of the universe. It depicts the dual force - Purush who provides the concepts and Prakarti - the nature that provides the action, that results in the creation of the solar system. The work was done using wash style and has received many ovations for its composition and techniques.
